A leading uPVC glazing manufacturer & installation company, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products to our clients, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Bid Manager to join their team.
This key role will be responsible for managing the entire bid lifecycle, ensuring the timely submission of winning bids and proposals. As a Bid Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the business growth by leading the end-to-end bid process. The Bid Manager will work cross-functionally with various teams to develop bid strategies, identify customer requirements, and prepare high-quality bid documents. Delivering projects and frameworks valued up to and over 10 million.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the production of Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQs), Invitation to Tenders (ITTs) and Presentations in accordance with agreed deadlines.
- Lead the bid process from opportunity identification to proposal submission, ensuring alignment with customer objectives and company strategy.
- Collaborate with Senior Management, Sales, and Technical teams to develop bid strategies and value propositions.
- Conduct market analysis, competitor research, and gather customer intelligence to inform bid approach.
- Coordinate and manage the compilation and submission of bids, including document preparation, pricing, and compliance with tender requirements.
- Maintain a centralised bid management system and document control system.
- Continuously improve the bid management process, identifying areas for optimisation and implementing best practices while proactively suggesting improvements when warranted.
- Writing case studies.
Requirements:
- Marketing/Bid qualifications desired.
- Proven experience in bid management, preferably within the Fenestration sector (2 years minimum experience required).
- Strong understanding of bid processes, including tender evaluation, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
- Strong written English language skills are necessary for this role
- Excellent attention to detail and meticulous proof-reading skills are required
- Excellent communication skills,
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in bid document preparation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
