Our client is a Tier 1 Main Contractor operating in the North West of England, renowned for delivering high-quality construction projects across various sectors.
They are looking for a talented BIM/Digital Engineer with a focus on Building Information Modeling (BIM) to support their construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in utilising digital tools and technologies to enhance project delivery and coordination.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement digital strategies, including BIM execution plans.
- Utilise BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) to create, manage, and coordinate 3D models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct clash detection analysis and resolve conflicts to optimise construction workflows.
- Assist in the preparation of design documentation and construction drawings in compliance with BIM standards and regulations.
- Facilitate coordination meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Provide training and support to project teams on BIM methodologies and software applications.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in digital construction technologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and consultants to integrate their digital deliverables into the overall project model.
- Support the implementation of digital construction tools and workflows to enhance productivity and efficiency on site.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Proven experience working as a Digital Engineer or BIM Coordinator within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in BIM software, including Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of BIM principles, standards (e.g., BS EN ISO 19650), and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working for a Tier 1 Main Contractor or large construction firm is desirable but not essential.
