Bioinformatician

My client is looking for a bioinformatician to join their biotechnology company focusing on the enhancement of crop varieties!

We are on the hunt for a motivated bioinformatician that is comfortable with multi-omics datasets and has a strong work ethic for this new opportunity.

This role requires a bioinformatician to work directly with the CTO and data engineering team to design, refine and evolve pipelines for data ingestion and processing.

Essential requirements:

• MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics or a related discipline
• Fluent in Python (over 3 years’ experience)
• Experienced in bash-scripting
• Proficient operating in cloud environments

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience working with plant biology with interest in gene metabolic and gene regulatory data
• Worked with pipelining tools such as: Nextflow or Snakemake
• Ability to work with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch)
• Personal github projects or contributions to open-source bioinformatic projects with well formatted code
