, An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cellular Pathology Department at ABUHB. Cellular Pathology are expanding our services here in the Royal Gwent Hospital, and so the successful candidate would join us at a time of progression and opportunity. Candidates must hold an accredited Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent and be HCPC registered. , , The successful applicant will be supported through their Specialist portfolio in Cellular Pathology and will be committed to working well within a team as well as promoting the quality ethos in everything we do. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail are key as well as an appreciation and acceptance of the value of high quality training, Health & Safety and commitment to the quality management systems. We have an enthusiastic workforce with a passion for quality and continuous improvement looking to develop each specialist section in response to the single cancer pathway.  , , Main duties of the job, , Technical skills required from the successful candidate will enable them to rotate around each of our sections; main lab, (embedding and microtomy), special stains, dissection, immunocytochemistry, cryotomy and direct immunofluorescence, diagnostic cytology.
