Your role as Bioresources Technician Apprentice:
As a Bioresources Apprentice Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and efficiency of water treatment processes. Your responsibilities encompass conducting regulatory safety checks on Steam Boilers, managing day-to-day boiler water treatment, and operating the Sludge Treatment Centre within Critical Control Points (CCP). Your duties also involve Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) sampling, prompt action reporting, and collaboration with the Operations Management Centre for compliance issues. Engage in routine activities, implement actions from Compliance Action Plans, and monitor scientific parameters. You will gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting Combined Heat and Power (CHP) & Sludge Reagent Product (SRP) processes, and optimising systems through IT. Additionally, contribute to health and safety initiatives, conduct site inductions, and participate in continuous learning activities. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient environment in the field of water recycling.
Your journey: Embark on this 2-year adventure of training and learning, meeting new peers with other new apprentices. You will spend 80% of your time at your work base, getting to know your new team with onsite training. You will spend the other 20% of your time in the classroom learning fundamental skills to equip you with the knowledge needed to be successful in your role.
To be successful as an Anglian Water Apprentice you will require:
5 GCSE's including Maths and English Grade A-C or 9-4 (if you have not completed your GCSE's we will accept predicted grades. We also accept Level 2 Functional Skills)?
A desire to learn while working in a practical environment?
Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers?
A passion for problem solving, willingness to learn and delivering exceptional customer service?
As well as the above, you will need a full UK driving licence. If you do not currently have this, you are required to hold a full UK driving licence prior to the completion of year 2 of the training programme. You will also need to live within the circumference of the area that the role will cover.
This position is deemed a safety critical role with safety being our number one priority. Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening will be taken.

If successful, you will be invited to attend an in-person assessment centre on Thursday 18th April.
