We are looking for a part time Bookkeeper. Must have experience in invoicing, allocating payments & bank reconciliation. Experience with VAT and wages/payroll is also essential.
2 days per week, flexible on the days required, Monday - Friday.
You will be responsible for ensuring all paperwork submitted to our accountant on time and reconciliation of bank and credit card payments.
· Maintain company ledgers
· Arranging payment of and reconciling of purchase invoices and monitoring creditors
· Assisting with preparation of quarterly VAT returns (and an understanding of VAT & tax codes)
· Monitoring cash flow and ensuring there are always sufficient funds for upcoming payments
· Providing administrative and clerical support in the office as needed
· Maintaining petty cash
· Create and post monthly payroll journal
· Making necessary PAYE payments to HMRC in a timely manner
· Monthly bank reconciliations
· Assisting company directors with finances
Requirements - minimum 2 years bookkeeper experience, including use of Xero, a good understanding of day to day office procedures.
We have a number of different small businesses under the one roof, and monitoring all inter company accounts and transfers too.
Approx 10 hours per week over 2 days or more as required, flexible hours between 9am-8pm.
