The firm takes a proactive approach to ensure that our clients comply with all legal requirements and maximise their financial performance. The firm's team of accountants and tax advisors are highly skilled and experienced, providing clients with the knowledge and expertise they need to achieve their financial goals. All our staff strive to be seen as trusted advisors - there to support clients at every step of the way.
The role:
We have a vacancy for a Bookkeeper to join our Client Support Department. In recent months, we have had a massive influx of new work from both existing clients - and referrals. It's an exciting time and we have decided the time is right to bring someone else on board. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in practice - assisting clients with their record keeping on software like QuickBooks, Xero & Dext. The Client Support Department is a team of 2 - who work closely together - supporting each other at all times. There is scope to get involved in cloud accounting training, meeting new clients and building on existing skills and expertise. As a firm, we are always very keen to support staff in anyway that we can - whether that be through training opportunities or obtaining professional qualifications.
The candidate:
Our ideal candidate will have experience in the preparation and completion of VAT returns and general bookkeeping. A lot of our clients use QuickBooks or Xero - with Dext integrated - so knowledge of the software is really important.
We are looking for someone who has excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise their own workload. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral, and have the ability to build professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
We are open to candidates who are qualified by experience - or have relevant professional qualifications. Recent experience of working in an accountancy practice is preferred.
Benefits of working for us:
In return we can offer a competitive salary based on skills and experience, 25 days holiday plus 7 public holidays per year, increasing after 3 years of employment. We offer private medical insurance, as well as a Discretionary Bonus Scheme. We put a strong emphasis on work/life balance. A lot of our staff have young children, and we totally understand the need to be flexible. We're open to working with the right candidate to come up with a working arrangement that works best for everyone.
