Job Role: Bookkeeper

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Range: £28,000 to £30,000 per year FTE (pro-rata for part-time)

There will be a pay review after six months upon passing probation

Working Pattern: Part Time

We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join our client's team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Monitor cash flow, track expenses, and reconcile bank statements.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Reconcile accounts and proactively chase outstanding arrears and payments.
• Collaborate with management to create and manage budgets.
• Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Utilise a powerful ERP system to streamline processes, track financial data, and generate insightful reports.
• Set up and maintain the chart of accounts, ledgers, and financial modules.
• Manage tax filings and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and practises.
• Strong IT and finance system skills, including proficiency in MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail skills.
