Job description

Our client is a leading electrical installations contractor committed to delivering high-quality services to clients nationwide. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join their team.

We are looking for a Bookkeeper/Office Manager to oversee the financial and administrative functions of a successful Electrical Installation contractors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and managing day-to-day office operations.

You as the new Bookkeeper / Office Manager will:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
  • Answer phones, handle correspondence, and manage office communication.
  • Assist in the coordination of meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and maintain documents, reports, and presentations as needed.
  • Support the team with administrative tasks as required.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper/Office Manager or similar role.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with the construction or electrical industry is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.

The role is full timeMonday to Friday although Part time (3 days) applications will also be considered.
