Job Description

  • Supervise and lead the bookkeeping team.
  • Assisting with managing the deliverables of approximately 150 bookkeeping clients.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT Return
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts/information
  • Delegate work to an outsourcing team and reviewing their completed work.
  • Preparing and submitting CIS Returns
  • Oversee financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information.
  • Develop and enforce accurate bookkeeping policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve results.
  • Provide solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Bookkeeping Supervisor should have:

  • Previous work experience in UK accountancy firm(s)
  • Proficient knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Ideally hold an AAT (or equivalent) qualification
  • Relevant software experience including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and CCH
  • CIS experience
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyse financial data and prepare reports.
  • Management Accounts/Information (beneficial)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player
  • Must hold the right to work
