About the Role
Base Location: Perth, Glasgow, Aberdeen or Inverness
Salary: £45,400 - £68,200 + performance related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Brand Manager to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract from May 2024. As Brand Manager, you'll be responsible for shaping and executing a rebrand activation strategy that positions SSEN Transmission as a purpose-led company that people want to invest in, work for and partner with. At SSEN Transmission, we have a critical role to play in tackling the climate emergency and helping secure the country's future energy independence, as we deliver a network for net zero emissions in the north of Scotland.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Partnering with SSE Group Brand, external agencies, and internal teams to craft a targeted, multi-channel brand campaign addressing key stakeholders and business challenges.
- Utilise in-house design capabilities to support diverse brand and design requests, fostering creativity and visual excellence.
- Collaborating with Transmission's designers and brand ambassadors to ensure a consistent and vibrant brand application across all facets of our operations.
- Providing expert guidance to teams in developing compelling brand assets for various touchpoints, including websites, social media, reports, presentations, and everyday business collateral.
- Leading the evolution of our rebranding strategy, navigating the transition process and leading internal communications and engagement programs. You'll also establish and refine metrics for ongoing brand evaluation, benchmarking against external brands for strategic insights.
What do I need?
You'll be a seasoned professional with in-depth knowledge and experience of brand advertising campaigns, either on the client or agency side. With a proven track record of driving brand transformation programmes, you'll bring sound creative judgement and superior copywriting skills. To be considered for this role, we'd also love you to have:
- Experience and proven ability to get the best out of designers and agencies, both strategically and creatively, and in terms of effectiveness and value for money.
- Ability to distil complex information into digestible advertising messages for use across multiple channels.
- Capacity to shape and influence senior stakeholders, managing expectations and ongoing business relationships with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience acting as a project/implementation manager.
- Managerial experience and a background in the energy industry is desirable but not essential.
