AddressAssistant Retail Project Manager - 12 Month FTC
Are you passionate about grocery retail and looking to join a dynamic and innovative team? PizzaExpress are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our grocery retail team. With supermarket sales in excess of £100m per annum, we’re already a top 100 supermarket brand, have recently added a frozen range to our line-up of products which span 7 categories. We have big ambitions to grow too with lots of exciting opportunities in the pipeline! As an Assistant Retail Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the team to unlock this opportunity.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leads a range of identified projects in support of Retail Director and Senior Manager through to completion to time and budget – across shopper marketing, consumer marketing through (through owned and paid for channels), loyalty, pack and product workstreams in close partnership with internal food and marketing teams, as well as external agencies and manufacturers.
- Coordinates and consolidates consumer data (IRI / Kantar etc), pulling out key performance insights for internal review sessions
- Actively and effectively tracks all channel spend and budgeting of investment
- Builds product expertise monitoring competitor activity, new product launches and category price / promo movements
What you’ll need:
- Previous consumer goods experience (preferably in food & drink) – likely gained either through a structured graduate training programme at a consumer goods company, or a couple of years of ‘on the job’ experience as a junior product manager / assistant Brand Manager
- Highly numerate, a good commercial acumen with a working knowledge of consumer goods data
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Confident and proactive, evidence of project management skills gained in cross functional teams
