Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking in the kitchen
- Create and develop new menu items and recipes
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to established standards
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan and execute special events or promotions
Skills:
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on quality and presentation
- Proven experience as a chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with staff and management
- Passion for the culinary arts and a desire to continuously learn and improve
