Bricklayer Needed - Stockport - Immediate Start
Our client, a leading construction firm, is seeking an experienced Bricklayer with IPAF certification to join their team for an internal blockwork project in Stockport. This position will run until the end of the week, offering a competitive rate of £25-£26 per hour. You will be using MUPEs and scissor lifts on this project.
Responsibilities:
- Laying blocks and other masonry materials for internal walls.
- Reading blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction.
- Mixing mortar and applying it to blocks.
- Cutting blocks to fit specific dimensions.
- Ensuring the structural integrity and quality of the finished work.
- Operating MUPEs and scissor lifts safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bricklayer in the construction industry.
- Valid IPAF certification.
- Experience with internal blockwork and using MUPEs and scissor lifts.
- A strong understanding of bricklaying techniques and materials.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Available to start immediately and work until the end of the week.
