Join our team as a Broadcast Network Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional 1st line technical support to Arqiva’s valued customers, which include Terrestrial Broadcasters on Freeview and Digital/Analogue Radio. You'll collaborate with major broadcasters such as BBC, ITV, CH4, Global Radio, and Bauer, ensuring continual enhancement of service performance and safeguarding network availability.
Compensation: Up to £36,000 annually based on experience, alongside comprehensive company benefits.

Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain broadcast equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to broadcasting equipment and systems
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of broadcast operations
- Monitor and maintain the quality of audio and video signals
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on broadcast equipment
- Utilize monitoring and control systems to manage, configure, and operate various equipment, systems, networks, and platforms, both remotely and directly.
-Perform network monitoring and event management using Operation Support Systems (OSS) in alignment with Service Level Agreements and network availability standards.
-Take prompt corrective actions and channel incidents to the appropriate resolver group for swift resolution.
-Accurately log incident reports, service details, and schedules into the system, ensuring diligent tracking of reported incidents until satisfactory resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Broadcast Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of computer networking, PKI, operating systems, BGP, network installation, certify, MPLS, WAN, remote access software, and TCP/IP
- Familiarity with broadcast equipment and systems such as cameras, switchers, routers, servers, and encoders
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
