Job Description
A leading video technology consultancy with an excellent reputation are currently looking to expand their team with the recruitment of a Broadcast Engineer where you will be responsible for working closely with customers to design, deploy and support broadcast critical projects utilising progressive and emerging technologies and video/audio network solutions.
You will be a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills who can own the full project lifecycle including building trusting customer relationships, system design and implementation plus work collaboratively with other engineers and developers to successfully deliver each project. In addition, you will pro-actively diagnose, update and resolve customer issues, provide technical expertise and continue to be a trusted escalation point.
To be considered for this role applicants must have a demonstrable background in broadcast engineering ideally with projects experience. You must have good knowledge of audio and video standards and real-time transport streams (RTP, UDP and MPEG-TS) with an appreciate of media compression and transport technologies such as HEVC, JPEGXS, ST 2022 and ST 2110 being highly beneficial.
This is an office hours based role and once up to speed you will join the company's on call support rota providing a 24/7 service to clients.
This is a customer facing role so it is imperative candidates have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients via telephone, email and face to face on a daily basis.
