Broker Relationship Manager


We are looking to employ a Broker Relationship Manager to be based in London and to work with us on a Full-Time basis.

The Role


  • Maintain and enhance important strategic Broker Relationships across MRSG within the London Market
  • Formalise a challenging but realistic growth strategy with key partners.
  • Act as key point of contact for colleagues of MRSG into specific strategic brokers, becoming the focal point for query resolution.
  • Provide clear presentations to important stakeholders as and when required.
  • Explore and consider alternative strategic relationships within the London Market that will enhance profitable growth for MRSG.
  • Support underwriters in achieving growth objectives by providing sales and development support.
  • Utilising CRM capabilities and working alongside colleagues from a range of functions, you will monitor key broker performance metrics beyond income generation, looking to enhance or remediate where appropriate.
  • Effectively generate and support cross-selling opportunities between product lines.
  • Articulate London Market broker information to the global distribution team of MRSG whilst also promoting global MRSG capabilities to broking partners, making introductions and connections where relevant.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of insurance, competitor and industry activity and provide market feedback.
  • Work within the framework of Munich Re ethical and service standards.
  • Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.


What we are looking for


You to promote the proposition of Munich Re Specialty Group to the London Insurance Market in line with the appetite of the Group to generate profitable premium growth. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing strong relationships with designated key strategic brokers. You will work alongside a range of key stakeholders within the business, including underwriting and claims colleagues, and across the business to enhance the management of our broking partners and improve overall efficiencies for the group.


Key Skills & Experience


  • Knowledge and experience of working in the Lloyd’s and company insurance markets.
  • Industry knowledge of marine and specialty markets.
  • Understanding of basic underwriting principles across marine and specialty markets.
  • Understanding of business planning and regulatory issues relevant to the London insurance market.
  • Strong data analytics and ability to understand fundamental performance metrics.
  • Experience of preparing and conducting presentations to a range of stakeholders including C-Suite
  • Track record of strong Broker Relationship management.
  • In depth knowledge of the London broking environment.
  • Respected market profile.
