We have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Engineering and Estates Team as a Building Services Maintenance Assistant. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on, and positive individual who either has experience of working in the building trade or has an engineering background.
About the Role
You will undertake general maintenance to the estate and should have a range of trade skills. Working on a single site, the role is 36 hours per week and is located on the Harwell Science Campus, Didcot. All tools, PPE and uniform are provided, with overtime available as well as generous annual leave and employee benefits.
There is potential within the role for varied training and upskilling including opportunities to gain experience of working on the wider Building Services systems and to gain mechanical or electrical knowledge through external and/or internal training courses.

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out general maintenance to all buildings, including minor decorating, carpentry work and minor plumbing repairs
* Procure materials, components, and spares
* Carry out and assist with day-to-day building maintenance work
* Carry out visual checks of plant and equipment
* Carry out routine equipment checks (training will be provided)
* Use the Planet FM software to manage work requests as well as planned and preventative maintenance
