Building Surveyor

The Business:

Our client are a multi-disciplinary building surveying and architectural consultancy based in Central London. With a selective client base of repeat customers, the business has found themselves inundated with work and as such are looking to expand their building surveying capacity through taking onboard chartered Building Surveyors.

If you’re an experienced Building Surveyor that would thrive in a smaller, more tight knit team then this could be a great fit for you.

As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

• Aiding with the completion of the Refurbishment and conversion projects.
• Contract Administration, Dilapidations, Party Wall Matters etc.
• Conducting surveys and inspections of buildings, identifying and diagnosing defects, and providing recommendations for repairs and maintenance.
• Preparing detailed reports on building condition, compliance, and maintenance requirements for clients.
• Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on building regulations and legislation.
• Preparing and reviewing specifications and designs for building works.
• Liaising with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring that deadlines are met.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
• Chartered membership of RICS.
• At least 5 years of experience in building surveying.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in building design, construction, and maintenance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
