Job Description:
We are looking for a Building Surveyor to join our team in Grimsby. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, safety, and compliance of property construction and maintenance projects.
Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, 2D, and 3D design packages.
• Experience in a building design or maintenance environment.
• HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Building Technology or a related qualification with supported experience.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, 2D, and 3D design software.
• Strong IT skills and experience with database systems for effective data management.
• Legal and Regulatory Knowledge:
• Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations in building construction and maintenance.

Skills:

• Numeracy, statistical analysis, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience with Building Regulations and planning applications is desirable.
• Familiarity with CDM (Construction Design and Management) Regulations 2015 is a plus.

Main Accountabilities:
As a Building Surveyor, you will have the following key responsibilities:

• Design and Technical Support: Provide design and technical support for construction projects, developing plans and specifications using AutoCAD.
• Technical Advice: Offer guidance on domestic property and DFG (Disabled Facilities Grant) construction projects.
• Brief and Specification Development: Assist in developing technical information for DFG schemes and client briefings.
• Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure technical information complies with standards and best practices.
• Project Management: Contribute to managing minor works and property construction projects.
• Works Orders and Compliance: Assist with issuing works orders and ensuring compliance.
• Reports and Recommendations: Prepare option appraisals, feasibility studies, estimates, and technical reports.
• Project Monitoring: Direct and monitor works, including managing contract variations and project costs.
• Compliance and Safety: Operate within company policies and systems, ensuring safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
