A client within the Public Sector based in Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible.
The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a surveying environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to provide a fast, efficient and cost effective planned and reactive contract works service including all surveys.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• provide technical advice/assistance, information and guidance on any issues relating to the definition of client needs and requirements within the function of planned maintenance and contract works.
  assist in the provision of technical advice, assistance, information and guidance on any issues relating to the definition of client needs and requirements


• evaluate the effects of, report on and adjust contract specifications to accommodate any changes in or variations to the needs and requirements of the client


• supervise contracts and monitor progress as well as maintain quality control and cost control standards in the implementation of all work relating to planned maintenance and contract works.
  

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require experience of planned/reactive and maintenance works contracts as well as the ability to produce Auto Cad Plans, Elevations and cross sections buildinq and structures.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• knowledge of current Building Regulations and different types of building Surveys.


• experience of managing large multi- discipline construction projects including newbuild, extensions and refurbishments.


• knowledge of the Approved Document M 1, Health & Safety Leqislation and Project Manaqement

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £23 - £26 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
