The Business Development Manager Role
The Business Development Manager is a key role focused on expanding and enhancing their services within the construction and civil engineering sector. This position requires a proactive and results-driven individual who excels in maintaining exceptional customer service and fostering strong client relationships. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth and identifying new opportunities in areas such as 3D Modelling & BIM Surveys, Underground Utility Mapping, Railway Surveys, Measured Building Surveys, Laser Scanning and Structural Monitoring.
Responsibilities or the Business Development Manager:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive the growth of within the survey sector
- Strategise to win potential projects and collaborate with the Monitoring Manager to ensure successful project execution
- Uphold the highest level of customer service across, ensuring all client needs are met and expectations surpassed.
- Promote and cross sell Survey Solutions' diverse services to clients.
- Develop, maintain and manage strong relationships with structural monitoring clients to provide services which cater to their requirements and promote repeat business.
- Formulate and execute strategies that align with the company's sales goals, using comprehensive market analysis.
- Retention and management of existing clients including development of new sales opportunities
The Successful Business Development Manager Role
- Ideally you will have a good understanding of the Survey Sector, including areas such as 3D Modelling & BIM Surveys, Underground Utility Mapping, Railway Surveys, Measured Building Surveys, Laser Scanning and Structural Monitoring
- Proven experience in Business Development or B2B sales, specifically into the construction and civil engineering sectors.
- Understanding of the construction and civil engineering industry and key stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with the capacity to spot and capitalise on business opportunities.
- Leadership skills with a proven track record in team collaboration and development.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and a strong approach to data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives.
- Results-driven mindset with a passion for achieving sales targets.
- Full UK driving licence.
