The RoleAt the National Memorial Arboretum, is looking for an experienced Building and Facilities Manager to join the established Estates Team and lead the Building Services team overseeing the management and maintenance of our state of the art facilities.The Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion.At its heart, RBL is a people organisation. As a Building and Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for:To manage the safety, security, maintenance, cleanliness and sustainability of the Arboretum buildings, facilities and equipment through the development and reporting of effective management processes.To manage the Building Services Team to ensure safe, efficient and secure work practices. To support the Arboretum events programme and delivery a world class experience to all internal and external customer.keep up to date with and implement estate related security in collaboration with the Head of Estates and other Heads of Department including liaison with the police, counter terrorism advisers and other emergency services as required.To prepare, monitor and manage expenditure budgets and operation plans in relation to the Buildings and built-environment functions in accordance with agreed targets.Monitor site safety, compliance, training, and competencies across the estate to advise on Please note that this role will be based onsite at the National Memorial Arboretum, Burton-on-Trent DE13 7ARAbout the National Memorial ArboretumThe Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion. Each year the Arboretum welcomes around 300,000 visitors, many of whom attend one of the 200+ events which take place across the site.
