Here at The Isle of Wight College we work with a number of employers, in a vast array of industries. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work as a Business Admin and Marketing Apprentice at IFPL Group.

 

Owing to previous apprentice success, IFPL are now seeking a business apprentice to join their friendly team. Reporting to the Marketing & Admin manager, the successful candidate will provide administrative support to the marketing department and assist in executing marketing campaigns.

 

IFPL is headquartered in Calbourne, on the Isle of Wight. Their award-winning facility is home to manufacturing, research and development, and testing operations.

IFPL is an innovative, award-winning electronics company specialising in the design and manufacture of advanced technology and passenger interface products.

With over 3.5 million units shipped worldwide and a proven reputation for reliability earned over more than 25 years, IFPL work closely with our clients to provide services from initial concept and prototyping to complete manufacturing, and logistics.

The successful candidate will learn and apply marketing strategies, manage social media accounts, and help create engaging content. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to start a career in marketing and Business Administration.

 

Tasks and responsibilities will include:

·       Assist with daily administrative tasks such as directing calls, organising folders and keeping records.

·       Maintain and update customer relationship management (CRM) system

·       Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns and events.

·       Run campaigns and advise on success by analysing analytics.

·       Create, edit, and publish content for social media platforms, blogs, newsletters, and websites.

·       Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and customer preferences.

·       Assist in the creation of marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, and promotional materials.

·       Prepare reports, presentations, and marketing materials.

 

Person specification:

·       Strong interest in marketing and Business Administration.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

·       Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

·       Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·       Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications Required:

 

GCSE grade C/4 or above in English & Maths (or equivalent qualification and/or ability to work towards these Functional Skills.) 

 

Apprenticeship Standard:

  • Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Functional Skills in Maths and English if required and not previously achieved GCSE grade 4 or above.
  • There is a requirement to complete off the job training for 6 hours per week during working hours. College attendance will contribute but time spent either learning something new, other courses or any support work that is not in your usual role will also be counted.

 

Working Week:     

37.5 hours per week.  

 

Wage:

 Dependant on age, above apprenticeship national minimum wage.

The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £6.40 per hour. This applies to 16-18-year-old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
