If so, we might have just the role for you!
Opportunity Sheffield, the Employment & Skills Service within Sheffield City Council, has a rare and exciting chance for a Business and Administration Apprentice to start their career in local government as part of our team.

You’ll get to discover the broad and varied nature of project work within the vibrant and fast-evolving Employment & Skills Sector, where no two days are ever the same.
Our service plays a vital role in helping people from under-serviced groups and communities get into work, in supporting employees to gain new skills and make the most of their potential, and in helping local employers build strong and productive workforces.
We need a great new hire to help with this work, and in return, we’ll introduce you to our world, and train you to play a hands-on role in supporting residents, communities and employers across the city.

As part of your apprenticeship, we’ll introduce you to a range of tasks and responsibilities, including:
- supporting project staff with systems, processes, paperwork or data
- communicating with partners, colleagues and members of the public via telephone, email and in-person
- organising meetings, booking rooms, minute-taking and managing invitations
- assisting with the planning and delivery of our events, including jobs fairs, training courses and partner briefings
- helping our Marketing Officer manage our social media channels and produce some eye-catching promotional content for the team
- a wide range of other tasks in support of making the Employment & Skills Service the best it can be
