We’re looking for a Business Analyst with a background working in data to join our team. You’ll be working as part of the newly formed Data Planning and Delivery Team, who are responsible for organising the wide range of work coming into the Data team into a clear prioritised roadmap. You’ll be responsible for working with stakeholders from across the organisation to understand their data needs and translate these into clear requirements to add to our pipeline of work.
Part of the wider Strategy Management Unit, the Data team are responsible for ensuring people use, trust, and understand our data to maximise its value and support the delivery of our strategy.
You’ll be working with colleagues whose work spans across Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Governance and Geo-Spatial data.

What you'll be doing- Leading requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders, translating complex business needs into clear and concise documentation for the various data teams to deliver.
- Scoping out work coming into the Data Team to support the Data Delivery Manager in organising and prioritising the team’s roadmap, turning this into yearly and quarterly delivery plans.
- Working closely with colleagues from both technical and non-technical backgrounds from across the organisation.
- Playing an active role within the Trust’s Business Analysis Community of Practice, helping to develop ways of working, processes and tools and techniques with the group.
- Acting as SME to the Data Team on Business Analysis, delivering training on techniques and skills, and setting standards for documentation.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Knowledge, understanding and a background working in Data.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.
- Skills in requirement gathering techniques, process mapping, and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Experience with data modelling and database design is desirable but not necessary.
