Our financial sector client is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to come into their cash equity team for an initial 6 month contract.
Job Profile
The Cash Equity Business Analyst and SME job in EMEA Cash equity IT team is accountable for enabling the technical development and run-time operation of products and services within Cash equity platform with a set of development teams and PODs.
It is a very exciting time to join the team as we are currently in the process of building an in house Order and Trade Management system for our Future State Architecture. In this role you will:
- Perform indepth analysis/investigation of workflows/systems to enable build and migration to new strategic platform.
- Take responsibility as the lead analyst on one or more workflows and verticals and also assist other team members.
- Along with the entire team is responsible for the consistency, quality and coherence of the overall solution definition.
- Responsible for tracking delivery items assigned to them, get involved in testing (manual and automated) and ensuring the changes are successfully released in production.
- Accountable for ensuring compliance of the new built products and services with mandatory and regulatory requirements
- Work with the product owners to ensure that work is de-constructed and translated into development activities across teams
- Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- In depth Front to back Cash Equity knowledge - specifically STP trading, order management, market access, reg reporting and middle/back office feeds.
- Excellent analytical skills and task management skills – prior business analysis background a plus
- Both a teamwork approach and self-sufficiency
- Ability to work flexibly and take responsibility for all areas of work as required.
- Exposure to the full software engineering life-cycle, from business case to release and support. An understanding of the importance of architectural structure of front office components when making design decisions.
- Previous experience of delivering front office change in a global team
- Proven track record in building trusted relationship across business/technology and at various levels. Should be able to influence front office users and be knowledgeable to gain their trust.
- Java knowledge and sql know how will be a good addition to enable techincal walk throughs.
This role is based in London and involves hybrid working.
