Role Purpose
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be part of a team responsible for defining and maintaining business processes and functions. You will collaborate with business and development teams on IT transformation projects, including migration to Dynamics D365 F&O, to support the businesses strategic goals. You will be responsible for delivering a consistent, clear and detailed set of business requirements, analysing key processes and producing clear, accurate, agreed documentation. You will develop plans and proposals for the steps to be taken (including technology selection/development) to realise the business requirements and at the same time develop, support and improve existing standards for Business Analysis processes and deliverables.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a business analysis role
- Experience of ERP Change Programmes, preferably within a retail organisation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of directors, managers, and subject matter experts
- Proven experience of working across the full project lifecycle (from initiation through to benefits realization) within both structured and agile project framework
- Proven ability to think, write and present in a logical and structured way.
- Ability to problem solve and challenge
- Customer focused with the ability to influence decision making
- Experience of working with teams in multiple locations
- Able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders in order to truly understand the underlying needs of the business.
- Ability to think strategically, allowing individuals to contribute to the development of BA processes and best practices
- Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer / business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Experience of delivering requirement artefacts according to defined standards including user stories, using business language, Has a customer focused approach ensuring that changes delivered provide value to the business
Technical / professional qualifications:
- BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis is desirable
- Experience of Business Process Modelling/swim lane diagrams
- Experience in analysis and design of complex interface requirements
- Familiar with Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O; recognised qualifications would be an advantage
- Experience of PIM implementations would be an advantage
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Technologies including Azure Devops would be beneficial
- A working knowledge of tools and languages required for the development of browser based applications: HTML, XML
- Proficient in basic project management
