As a Schemes Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in designing, configuring and optimising insurance schemes within the Acturis platform and other related broking applications.
Responsibilities:
Scheme Analysis:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document requirements for insurance schemes within Acturis and other broking platforms.
Analyse existing schemes and propose enhancements to streamline processes.
Configuration and Customisation:
Configure schemes to align with business needs.
Customise rating rules, document templates, and workflow processes.
Data Mapping and Integration:
Work closely with data migration teams to map data fields between Acturis and external systems.
Ensure seamless data flow and accurate integration.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to validate scheme configurations.
Liaise with the QA team and business users to help develop and deploy test scripts.
Identify and address any discrepancies or issues promptly.
Documentation:
Create comprehensive documentation for schemes, including specifications, process flows and user guides.
Maintain up-to-date records of scheme configurations.
Issue Resolution:
Investigate and resolve issues related to scheme setup, data discrepancies, and system behaviour.
Collaborate with technical support teams to implement solutions.
Collaboration:
Work closely with vendors' developers, product owners, and other BAs to enhance broking application functionality.
Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to system improvements.
Skills and Qualifications:
Insurance Knowledge:
Familiarity with insurance products, underwriting, and policy administration.
Acturis Expertise:
Knowledge of Acturis functionality, scheme design, configuration, rating, and document generation.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyse complex business requirements and translate them into system configurations.
Communication:
Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and convey technical information effectively.
Problem-Solving:
Proactive approach to identifying and solving issues related to insurance broking schemes.
Experience & Professional Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience working as an insurance-based functional, data, schemes, or business Analyst.
- 1+ years of customer interfacing experience - project oversight, customer presentation.
