Joining the AA as a Business Solution Architect, you will collaborate with various business stakeholders to identify business needs and design/develop solutions. You will drive solution architectures to enable applications to have exceptional operational qualities i.e., high availability/performance, seamless integration and high quality/reliability.

The role will work across AA functions to support business and technology leaders in understanding, monetising and operationalising existing, new and emerging technologies. The role requires a broad level of experience and knowledge across multiple architecture avenues, more specifically having a strong Business Architecture focus.

What will I be doing?

  • Guide the enterprise through transformation and optimisation initiatives helping delight our customers, grow revenue, optimise costs and mitigate risks
  • Develop IT strategy, target architectures, architecture tooling and methods, governance, innovation and technology optimisation across the group
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects in the continual improvement of the AA architecture development methodology, framework, strategy, and architecture principles
  • Identify and manage architecture exceptions and designs during the definition of target and transitional architectures through both application and development lifecycle
  • Support the Solution Architects in the population, review, analysis, and management of the architectural requirements
  • Provide portfolio and project analysis, design, and implementation support during the application development lifecycle

What do I need?

Essential:

  • Strong demonstrable experience and knowledge across a broad spectrum within Solution Architecture
  • Experienced with designing and implementing Business and Application Architectures
  • Skilled with developing and maintaining solution architecture across medium/large businesses
  • Key knowledge of architecture best practices and compliance standards
  • Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills with the strong ability to challenge, influence and persuade to all levels including Senior Leaders, Executives and Directors
  • Passionate about future emerging technology trends, able to identify gaps and implement thought-out solutions
