Overview
We are recruiting for a Business Continuity Managerto initiate, implement and manage integrated Business Continuity Management (BCM) programs which are customised towards responding to major business disruption, continuing critical business functions within agreed timeframes, meeting the organisational risk objectives and achieving compliance to Link Group corporate policy.
The portfolio of work for the Business Continuity Managerincludes, but is not limited to, policy management, methodology and framework development, risk identification and assessment, managing Business Continuity rehearsals, IT Disaster Recovery tests and Crisis Management exercises, facilitating educational workshops and providing consultation to senior management and key stakeholders.
The role is based on a hybrid basis from either our central London office or city centre office in Leeds , so you need to be within a commutable distance of one of these locations.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Enhancing and championing the Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, which includes Business Continuity, Crisis Management and IT Disaster Recovery
  • Designing and implementing a customised BCM Framework and Methodology, including supporting templates and documentation
  • Providing regular program status reports to Link Group Management, documenting, tracking completion and regularly reporting on actions arising out of the Emergency Communications, Business Continuity Planning and IT Disaster Recovery Plan tests and exercises
  • Managing ‘real’ major disruption BCM events which are declared by the Link Group Crisis Management Team
  • Ensuring emergency communication systems and protocols are accurately maintained
  • Directing the annual Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) for all Link Group departments that are based in the region
  • Directing the annual testing of Link Group BC plans and emergency communication systems
  • Managing the process of updating all Link Group EMEA Business Continuity Plans and Link Disaster Recovery (DR) Plans at least annually, in alignment with BIAs and as significant operational changes or as a result of internal system changes
  • Reviewing critical new and legacy vendors and business partners to determine the adequacy of their internal Business Continuity controls
  • Designing educational workshops and providing consultation to senior management and key stakeholders, in addition to facilitating awareness and role specific training to colleagues and key personnel
  • Maintaining relationships and affiliations with external BCM professional organisations, institutes and working groups to keep up to date with industry best standards
  • Directing and reviewing BCM compliance and quality assurance, in line with the requirements under Link Group’s Risk Management framework, including OH&S, legislation, statues, regulations and policies
What we’re looking for:
  • 7+ years of progressive, demonstrable experience in Business Continuity Management
  • Advanced working knowledge of relevant trends and information within the industry
  • The ability to build, develop and maintain relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing them with an excellent service
  • Flexibility, responsiveness, resilience and the ability to work to and meet tight deadlines whilst managing competing priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence, persuade and develop strong working relationships both internally and externally to achieve favourable outcomes
  • The ability to collaborate with other teams to achieve broader goals and objectives
  • Strong commercial orientation, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
  • A certification from the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) or Disaster Recovery International (DRI) would be advantageous
  • The ability to constantly and consistently work to improve processes and service which leads to the implementation of changes
