We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Assistant on behalf of our client. Our client has been a trusted name in the timber industry for over 20 years, known for their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, they are expanding and looking for a motivated sales professional to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Outbound Calls: Initiating calls to prospective customers to promote oak timber products and scheduling appointments for the field sales team.
- Lead Generation: Conducting web research and outbound calling to identify and qualify new sales opportunities.
- Enquiry Handling & Quoting: Managing incoming enquiries, understanding customer needs, and providing tailored quotes using the ERP system.
- Product Knowledge: Gaining in-depth knowledge of the oak product range to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
- Sales Pitch: Crafting and delivering persuasive sales pitches that highlight the benefits of the products.
- Follow Up: Ensuring all sales activities are followed up on to maximize opportunities.
- Achievement of Targets: Meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs related to call volume, conversion rates, and appointments set.
- Data Management: Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with the sales and marketing teams to share insights and improve sales strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in telemarketing, sales, or customer service roles.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong consultative selling abilities.
- Knowledge of timber products or experience in the timber framing or joinery manufacturing industry is essential.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with customers over the phone.
- Goal-oriented with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated and resilient in the face of rejection.
- Proficiency in CRM software and basic computer skills.
