SRG are working with a leading life science organisation to help them find a Business Development Executive who can speak fluent French and English during an exciting time of growth and expansion and to focus on their European territory.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a commercial scientific setting or with a science background who is keen to move into a more commercially focused role away from the lab.
This role also offers an attractive hybrid working model and 35 hour week.
The Role:
- Work with clients in order to understand their technical requirements and to be able to generate accurate quotations in a timely manner
- Act as the sales point of contact between the customer and the Operations teams whilst working with the rest of the sales team to ensure all technical and business items are in place
- Work in the sales team delivering Sales Plans to help meet targets
- Produce proposals/quotations and submit these to clients within the defined timeframe
- Work with Business Development Managers (BDMs), Project Management, and customers to maintain an accurate sales forecast
- Support the qualification of new business opportunities
- Support the communication with customers
- Attend customer conference call meetings with the Account Business Developer (ABD), being prepared to discuss requirements and quotations
- Prepare for and conduct a weekly meeting internal technical points of contact
- Qualify customer enquiries
- Generate and present weekly reports to the sales team including sales, forecast, quotations, lost business etc
- Maintain the Sales Master File
- Periodically create and present a summary of quotations generated and closed
- Keep up to date with market and regulatory guidelines
Requirements:
- A relevant scientific degree or equivalent industry experience
- Fluent English and French language skills
- Experience of or a desire to work in a commercial role away from the lab
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally
- Good organisation skills
- Strong IT skills, in particular using Excel
- Self starter and show initiative
