Business Development Manager

£50K + car/allowance
Account Management:
- Manage existing customer accounts and fulfill business commitments.
- Develop and adjust Account Plans for key customers.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business expansion.
- Maximise contract revenue, ensure structured account development, achieve business growth, and retain customers.
Customer Acquisition and Proposals:
- Identify and evaluate prospective customers, tailoring proposals to their requirements.
- Complete tenders and negotiate beneficial contract structures.
- Maximize sales opportunities, secure contracts meeting revenue and profit targets.
Sales Forecasting and Market Research:
- Develop realistic sales forecasts and contribute to market research.
- Represent the company at industry events.
- Accurate forecasts, identification of market potential, and strengthened customer relations.
Budgeting and Strategic Planning:
- Assist with revenue budget development and provide realistic revenue estimates.
- Contribute to strategic sales planning and product/customer strategies.
- Manage revenue in line with budget, implement effective long-view strategies.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Ensure effective communication across departments.
- Produce monthly sales reports and attend meetings.
- Timely and accurate reports, effective collaboration, and communication facilitating excellent customer service.
Compliance and Continuous Improvement:
- Keep records in line with QA system procedures.
- Undertake duties commensurate with the post.
- Compliance with company procedures, continuous improvement, and a supportive working environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Manufacturing or Engineering
- Proven sales and account management experience.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
- Budgeting and financial acumen.
