Business Development Manager (Property)

Location: Brighton

Hours: Mon - Fri 9-5:30pm with 5pm finish on Fridays. Working 1 in 4 Saturdays 10-4pm with a day off the following week.

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible to grow their business through winning new instructions, growing their network and ensuring they maximise the overall income and profitability of our business.

You’ll be: Managing a strong team of Business Development Consultants, installing positivity and direction, maximising efficiencies, overseeing marketing strategies and installing a culture of hitting and exceeding targets.

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving the business forward and growing our current portfolio.
  • Meeting and exceeding targets through effective negotiation skills. You will be responsible for hitting your own personal target and those of your team.
  • Motivating your team and new recruits, ensuring they receive the training and support to reach their potential and hit targets.
  • Implementing and monitoring KPIs through regular team meetings, strategy meetings, one on one time for coaching and development and formal monthly 121s.
  • Assessing applicants and conducting interviews for new vacancies in the department and issuing relevant employment paperwork.
  • Managing internal HR for your team such as holiday allowance, leave requests and sickness.
  • Conducting market appraisals and property valuations.
  • Overseeing the appraisal process, ensuring appointments are booked and conducted efficiently and effectively, resulting in successful instruction.
  • Ensuring the onboarding process for new customers is efficient, providing a seamless customer experience, is representative of our brand values and is followed accurately.
  • Jointly responsible for the objectives and outputs of the Marketing Assistant alongside the Operations Director and Lettings Manager.
  • Implementing marketing strategies, within set budgets to gain brand awareness and win new business.
  • Collaborating on communications and outputs to potential new customers, ensuing they are in line with brand standards and convey our brand values.
  • Implementing and managing new business generation ideas.
  • Utilising all tools to gather data on potential new business.
  • Keeping accurate documents to aid the efficient completion of any process or task.
  • Following all applicable industry legislation and regulations.
  • Analysing data and company performance against competitors.
  • Harnessing tools, software and opportunities to achieve our targeted business growth.
  • Working alongside Department Managers and Directors to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborating with the management team to implement new processes and ideas to improve customer experience, service offerings and maximise the profitability of our business.
