As a Business Development Manager, you will proactively contact, pitch and sell to PRs and comms professionals within the UK mid-market segment. You will work with a dedicated team of individuals. This is primarily a telephone-based sales role however some face-to-face meetings will be expected.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a full 360 experienced sales professional to join our mid-market team at Cision to pitch our full suite of services to brand new prospects in the PR and Comms space. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about sales and wants to join an already successful sales team selling a market-leading solution.

Duties and responsibilities:

    • Position the value of Cision’s offering through inbound and outbound methodology to Mid-market organisations
    • Educate and guide the prospects through the buyer’s journey and help them understand the value of Cision for their organisation
    • Proactively self-sourced leads via cold calling, outreach and LinkedIn
    • Manage a pipeline of inbound and self-sourced leads to identify engage and develop relationships with potential buyers
    • Hit daily activity KPIs based on outbound activity
    • Conduct effective online demonstrations of our service through online meetings and occasionally face-to-face
    • Build a pipeline (5x your monthly target)
    • Ensure good communication with the Mid Market Customer Service Executives to ensure the smooth set up of new business orders
    • Input and maintain accurate activity information in Salesforce and Kluster
    • Report on activity and results daily, weekly and monthly

Essential skills and experience:

    • Experience in selling SaaS solutions
    • Ability to sell in a B2B environment
    • Excellent telephone manner
    • Ability to build great relationships
    • Excellent written and oral communication
    • Ability to build and give an effective online presentation of our services
    • Has a proven track record of outbound sales activity
    • Have strong consultative selling and closing skills
