Agency Sales Manager for an established, reputable Tour Operator, covering southern England. I am excited to recruit for this independent Tour Operator, who already have a strong reputation and brand loyalty. Are you an experienced Agency Sales Manager / Business Development Manager in the Travel Industry, looking for an opportunity to promote a popular, established product, to both maintain existing relationships with travel agencies and to further grow the trade sales? The successful Business Development manager will receive a competitive starting salary, above average and with and a generous benefits package including car allowance, quarterly bonus, discount travel on amazing products, competitive pension scheme, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), and social events too.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will be responsible for growing the company's market share, looking after dedicated accounts, creating new/nurturing existing business relationships, promoting a positive image to all UK Travel Agents, and representing the company and industry events (Uk and overseas). The UK is split into two regions for this Tour Operator and the role is to cover the South. This role is predominantly field based, with hybrid working from home
- Represent this Tour Operator on the road, nurturing travel agent relationships
- Review & analyse sales figures to identify trends and changes in performance levels in order to take necessary action
- Feed market intelligence back into the business
- Develop & maintain in-depth understanding of industry and key trends
- Plan and host training events, road shows and overseas educational/familiarisation trips for key groups of travel industry partners
- Work with our Reservations team to improve agent communication, service & resolve booking issues
- Engage in close working relationships with key suppliers, to further encourage supplier investment with partners
- Negotiate favourable commercial terms with national accounts
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
We are ideally seeking experience within the Travel Industry and ideally at least two within agency sales / trade sales, you will know your region and have existing relationships and contacts in this region. We are looking for someone with an overall passion for travel and acts as a positive brand ambassador.
