Due to continued evolution and investment, we have our sights set on ‘significant’ growth and with this comes the opportunity to recruit an additional Business Development Manager (BDM) to cover Scotland and the North of England Region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ‘selling’ into a pre-determined geographical area with a clear focus on increasing job numbers and Revenue.
Sales
- Manage and develop the company's off-highway tyre products and services within a geographic territory, in accordance with company guidelines. To achieve annual business targets in terms of volume, margin, and market share. To build and manage end user business, supporting the service delivery to our customers.
- Sales of tyres and services to end users (existing and prospective) using solid business arguments.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and outcomes within scheduled timelines.
Business Development
- Responsibility for the adherence to the pricing strategy and profitability performance targets through efficient management of price autonomy, set by Tyrefix for the customer and channel mix of the identified region.
- Coordinate sales effort with other team members and other departments (including customer contact centre and telesales).
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships with end users in the Plant and Earthmover categories by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
- Promote and sell all appropriate tyre brands, services and solutions using solid business arguments to existing and prospective end users.
- Maximise tyre and service mix according to business targets. Develop bespoke business plans by key end users and maintain an up to date account profile.
Technical
- Provide technical advice to end users around brand, product categories, segmentation, specifications, vehicle compatibility, performance expectations, application, usage, maintenance, wear and damage.
Performance Management
- Analyse the territory potential, track sales, service level agreements and status reports.
- Supply management with reporting on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Monitor and analyse the development of service and tyre sales, price, brand mix, market share by customer, within the sales territory.
- Provide regular updates to users and management in terms of KPIs and service level delivery.
- Undertake the upkeep and integration of customer data, in accordance with company guidelines, CRM, tools and systems.
- Manage personal route planning.
Marketing
- Develop, plan and implement Tyrefix marketing campaigns and initiatives to maximise opportunities in sales area.
- In conjunction with Marketing team, develop and execute events, promotions, campaigns, surveys and activities in sales area.
- Communicate competitor information regarding pricing, campaigns, new product introduction, product quality and customer programmes in line with Tyrefix guidelines on compliance.
Other
- Keep up-to-date of Tyrefix best practices and trends.
- Continuously improve through feedback.
- Meet individual and sales team targets.
- Attend meetings, sales events and training as required.
- Report and provide feedback to management using statistical data.
- Maintain and expand customer database (CRM) within your assigned territory.
- Manage and maintain your expenses, support and cost budgets.
Essential
- Tyre Industry knowledge and experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
