£40,000 – £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Car + Commission

The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client’s clientele and achieving monthly revenue targets. This strategic position demands a gradual process of client acquisition, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers in Buying and Purchasing departments. Your responsibilities will encompass proactive outreach through networking, cold calls, email campaigns, and client visits, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the company’s customer base.
2. Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.
3. Identify and pursue opportunities to provide bespoke timber packaging solutions, leveraging the company’s unique selling proposition.
4. Conduct proactive outreach activities to generate leads and maintain a pipeline of potential clients.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to tailor packaging solutions and ensure timely delivery.
6. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
7. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process to foster long-term client relationships and drive repeat business.
About You
- Proven experience in the timber, pallet trade, or packaging sector.
- Strong Business Development experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an easy-going demeanor.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and basic computer skills.
- Ideally located in the East Midlands for regular site access.
