We are looking for a Business Development Manager for a well-back, scale up Digital Innovation Agency & Software House, who are part of a larger Design Agency. They are Digital Innovators who create new-age experiences and cutting-edge products for the retail industry. The focus in on Immersive tech & events, Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality, Virtual Reality (VR), Content, Animation, Web & Mobile applications, Web3 & AI, and web / system development. They work with world famous retail, fashion, beauty & luxury brands.

You'll be a Digital Innovation Consultant to brands and businesses across the globe and will focus on growing and nurturing current relationships, upselling and informing clients of new tech, new avenues and new products/services. The focus will be on winning new business, partnerships management and client success. You'll also become an industry expert and be tasked with strategising, keeping up to date with new tech and areas for revenue.

As a breakaway agency it will involve reconnecting with the parent company’s clients and making them are of the business and the services they offer. The role will involve phone, video call, email, face to face contact with clients & prospects. You'll be one of the first 2 people in the business for their sales and marketing team, with a view for a lot of internal growth in the next 12-24 months.

Role Overview:

• Nurture current accounts into long-term partnerships
• Grow existing accounts and cross-sell / upsell where possible
• Revise & study market and competitors
• Research new areas for expansion
• Approach new clients / Lead Generation

There will be full support from the parent company and their sales team & Sales Director. You’ll be based in the Manchester office with the Head of Digital and the Designers, Creatives & Developers. You'll have opportunities to work remotely 2-3 days a week and there are opportunities to travel to London, Dubai, New York, Milan (amongst others) for projects and client meetings.

Skill Overview:

• Previous experience in Business Development / BDM / Sales / Relationship Management / Digital Consultant / Partnerships Manager / Client Success / Growth Strategy / New Business / Outreach role
• Proven track record hitting targets
• Knowledge of retail, fashion, beauty or luxury brands beneficial
• An understanding of Digital, Digital Marketing, Web / Mobile / Software Development, Social Media, AR, Video Content, Web3, Metaverse, Digital Innovation, Immersive technology, Gaming or Marketing beneficial.

Salary is £35K-£55K + company performance bonus. The role is not commission based as it is focused on providing clients with the best relevant products, building longstanding relationships and not selling just to hit increased revenue.
