Role Overview:

We are on the lookout for an energetic Business Development Manager to lead our sales initiatives, focusing on securing new logo clients in the renewable energy sector. This role is suited for someone proactive, results-oriented, and equipped with a thorough understanding of the renewable energy market and grid complexities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage potential clients in the renewable energy sector through both inbound andoutbound leads.
  • Craft and execute sales strategies aimed at securing new business, prioritising relationship building over transactional sales.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure, aligning with the fast-paced nature of the market.
  • Represent NovoGrid at industry conferences and client meetings, which are primarily remote.
  • Work in tandem with the Account Management team to ensure a seamless onboarding of new clients.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales or Business Development, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Demonstrated prowess in building strong, trust-based client relationships.
  • Competence in autonomous working and managing a remote work setup.
  • Deep understanding of the renewable energy market and grid operations.
  • Proven record of meeting sales targets and fostering business growth.
  • Right to work in Great Britain and well-spoken or native-level English proficiency.

Desired Qualifications

  • A relevant degree is favourable but not mandatory, provided there is significant knowledge or experience working with renewable energy and grid systems.

Training and Development

  • Offers comprehensive training and support, including one-on-one sessions with the co-CEO, access to a sales playbook, marketing, and ongoing learning opportunities.

Location

  • Fully remote role with occasional travel required for conferences and select client meetings in major UK cities, including London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Birmingham.

Salary
