This role supports the EMEA Debt Finance Section in developing and implementing Business Development initiatives aimed at building client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, winning new work, and positioning and profiling the Firm as one of the pre-eminent Debt Finance practices in the region.
Although the role is based in London, it includes a significant international dimension to ensure that BD activities and initiatives are coordinated across the White & Case EMEA office network.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with Debt Finance BD team and partners to drive Global and EMEA strategic initiatives, marketing plans, and key projects
- Leading and supporting pitch preparation and creating EMEA-wide materials
- Ensuring capturing and disseminating pitch/proposal information to internal and external stakeholders, including league table publications
- Managing legal directories process, including submitting and liaising with partners
- Collaborating with the central events team to evaluate the value, relevance, and cost/benefits of profile-raising opportunities (such as sponsorships and speaking slots) in the specified product areas, aiming to maximise benefits from each opportunity.
- Coordinating with central marketing communications for required marketing materials
- Working with PSLs to prepare and deliver tailored briefing, thought leadership, and client materials
- Assisting in the integration of lawyer new joiners
Qualifications and skills
- Graduate with 5 years’ relevant experience, gained within a professional services, legal or international firm
- Prior experience in Banking/Finance/Transaction practice (advantageous)
- Strong communication (written and oral) and attention to detail
- Intelligent and commercially minded, with proficiency in project management and delivering pitches/proposals
- Skilled in influencing, negotiation, coaching, and proficient in software applications
- Demonstrated ability to operate at all levels, proactive, flexible, and able to work under pressure

Location & Reporting
This role is based in London, and reports into the Associate Director, EMEA Debt Finance & FRI.
Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.
