Ideal Recruit are looking for a Business Development Manager specialising in the Ecommerce sector to join a leading logistics company in Skelmersdale. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving business growth and promoting Ecommerce services. This position entails developing and executing strategies tailored for clients, generating leads, conducting market research, and fostering strong relationships to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction within the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategies specifically designed to promote and sell Ecommerce logistics services, aligning with overall business objectives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Ecommerce market through targeted outreach efforts and industry events.
• Proactively generate leads within the Ecommerce sector and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through effective outreach strategies.
• Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the Ecommerce landscape.
• Implement tailored sales processes and techniques to increase productivity and maximise sales conversions within the Ecommerce segment.
• Utilise cost calculation methods to customise customer rates and proposals effectively, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Operations and Customer Service, to ensure the seamless delivery of Ecommerce services and customer satisfaction.
• Generate and distribute specific reports as required to track sales performance and provide insights for improvement within the Ecommerce segment.
• Analyse market data and sales metrics to identify opportunities for growth and enhancement specifically within the Ecommerce market.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Business Development within the logistics industry, with a focus on Ecommerce.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving high-volume sales targets within the Ecommerce sector in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to foster rapport with internal and external stakeholders, particularly within the Ecommerce industry.
• Working knowledge of CRM tools and proficiency in sales processes and techniques, tailored for Ecommerce clients.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively within the Ecommerce sector.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel as needed.
• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (desirable)
