Business Development Manager - Industrial Drive Solutions up to £60k + Bonus + Car UK wide --- MDE are currently looking for a Business Development Manager with a strong understanding of Industrial Automation, Drives, Robotics and Controls systems to develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income to an agreed annual target, to increase year on year, reporting directly to the Sales Director
Travel will be a major factor and overnight stops may be required. Overseas travel can be expected from time to time. Although the role is fully remote, there will be a requirement to travel to head office in Telford roughly once a month.

Job Responsibilities
Present our client to potential customers through direct or digital communicationProvide a high quality service to potential and existing customersMaintain the Company's reputation as a leading edge systems integratorResponsible for generation of new leads and making suitable appointments. Motivated to ensure all sales opportunities are exploredTravel will be a major factor and overnight stops may be required. Overseas travel can be expected from time to timeSuccessful management of the sales process from lead generation, pitching our client, asking questions, pitching the solution, negotiating and closing the order through to handing over a project to the Engineering team and kick-off meeting with customerPrepare proposals and specifications with the full support of the Sales Applications team and in accordance with company proceduresMaintain an up-to-date knowledge of issues affecting system integrator companies and the drives, digital and automation industry. Maintain an awareness of competitor activitiesRepresenting our client at industry events and tradeshows in order to gain new business leads and contactsComply with all relevant standards and work to the Company's ISO9001 & ISO14001 registeredTo comply with all Company procedures as defined in various documents including the Quality Manual, Staff Manual and Health & Safety ManualBe pro-active in supporting other company activities such as supporting colleaguesTo maintain good relationships with customers, suppliers and company staffOther duties as required
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Preferably qualified to degree level in EngineeringA minimum of five years' previous experience in a similar roleA knowledge of systems integration incorporating Variable Speed Drives, PLCs, Robotics, and SCADA/HMI products, MES/MIS, Simulation, Smart solutions and autonomous mobile applicationsProven track record in selling solutions to a variety of industrial applicationsHave established customer contacts at senior level
