Job Opportunity: We are excited to present a unique opportunity for a Business Development Manager (BDM), with a clear progression path to a Regional Manager role for the right person. This position is key to driving the continued growth and success of Target Zero in the construction safety training sector. We aim to build a sales team of 6 people +
Our Clients and Training Centres: Headquarters in Chelmsford, Essex with trainnig centres in Chelmsford, Peterborough, Sheffield, Crawley, Stratford and Colchester
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate sales in excess of £500k-£1m per Anum
- Engage in outbound calling to develop existing database client relationships and generate new business opportunities.
- Effectively communicate the benefits of our health and safety and construction courses through client visits.
- Strategically evolve from the BDM role into a Sales Director position, leading a nationwide team of BDMs.
- Maximise the use of our existing data
- Reporting to our MD and Commercial DIrector
- Progress towards becoming our Sales Director
Previous Experience:
- Some experience in the construction industry is essential, though comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
- Proven track record in managing a high volume of outbound calls and effectively utilizing a CRM system.
- Excellent face to face meeting skills and ability to deliver new clients
- Demostrate previous sales record of new and existing business growth
- Resilience in the face of rejection, viewing 'No' as a stepping stone to securing a 'Yes.'
- Persistent, with a positive and driven energy that propels you towards achieving sales targets.
Candidate Characteristics:
- Driven, self-motivated, and eager to achieve sales goals.
- Excellent phone manner, with strong communication and persuasion skills.
- Highly organized, adept in managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- A collaborative team player who can also demonstrate leadership potential.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in sales and Business Development, preferably in the construction or training sectors.
- A history of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Leadership experience or leadership potential.
Location: Based in Chelmsford, including necessary travel to client sites.
Salary & Benefits:
- Base Salary: £25k-£30k, dependent on experience.
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): Uncapped, potential to exceed £60-70k.
