About the role:
Astute's Renewables team is partnered with a company committed to supporting the UK with their green initiative by continuing to develop Renewable Energy generation projects. They are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their growing team in St Helens.
The Business Development Manager role comes with a salary of up to £55,000, pension, flexible working and private healthcare. This opportunity also offers uncapped and worthwhile commission payments for the delivery of new build development sites.

Responsibilities and duties:
As the Business Development Manager you will:

• Identify suitable and viable sites through leads and landowner/business engagement.
• Vet and assess potential opportunities with the Land Team and Development Team
• Plan and organise meetings face to face, via teams and on the phone.
• Identify and deliver potential off-takers in the form of a shortlist
• Present high quality commercial proposals for clients in line with their requirements
• Manage the day to day, complete own schedule and be the main contact for client relationships.
• Close on client proposals ensuring agreement with PPA terms and their specific needs.
• Any other duties as required.

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

• Degree qualified or equivalent vocational experience
• Experience of presenting proposals to decision makers
• Strong sales background
• Renewable energy or experience across the energy industry would be advantageous but not essential

The Business Development Manager role would suit someone who is:

• Experienced in closing negotiations.
• Driven by results and financial reward.
• Able to tailor approach and delivery to suit the audience.
• Capable of working in a collaborative environment and across multifunctional teams
