With a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and environmental responsibility, our client has grown establishing a reputation for professionalism and reliability.
About the role:
We are after a real new business hunter. You will spearhead efforts to drive business growth by acquiring new clients and fostering lasting relationships. The role involves achieving quarterly sales targets, primarily through prospecting, cold calling, and executing structured sales approaches to promote Gaskells Waste Services.
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify new business opportunities within a designated target area.
- Develop and implement strategies to secure new clients and meet sales objectives.
- Cold call and visit businesses to introduce services, provide detailed breakdowns of offerings, negotiate sales, and close deals.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Transport, Accounts, Credit Control) to ensure service arrangements and payment terms meet customer needs.
- Act as an Account Manager for new clients secured through field sales, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and identifying further business opportunities.
- Conduct regular client visits to maintain strong relationships and uncover potential leads.
- Proven success (minimum 2 years) in a business-to-business sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to sell ideas, products, and services effectively.
- Excellent time management and self-motivation to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Solid IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Two years of proven selling experience.
- Self-motivation and customer service skills
- CRM knowledgable.
- Full driving licence.
- Previous account management experience.
- Experience in waste management.
- £28k - £35k salary (dependent on experience)
