As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a talented and motivated Business Development Manager to join their team.
Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth by identifying new sales opportunities, winning specific project bids, and nurturing relationships with key accounts. You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our customer base while ensuring that sales and profitability targets are met.
This role offers a unique blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and maximize sales opportunities through various strategies, including cold calling and new account generation techniques.
Conduct in-depth research on potential customers, focusing on Automated Warehouse System Integrators, Racking Manufacturers, Distributors of storage equipment, Retail, and Distribution companies with plans for advanced logistics and automated warehousing.
Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and closing deals to providing ongoing support to existing customers.
Achieve and exceed sales and profitability budgets while preparing annual sales budgets.
Deliver compelling presentations to customers, offering technical advice on the suitability of our solutions, project timelines, and the impact of bespoke solutions.
Prepare official quotations using our company system.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM system, including creating new accounts and documenting sales activities.
Actively participate in industry seminars, conferences, and trade shows to expand your network and industry knowledge.
Generate monthly and weekly sales reports and monitor competitor activity.
Represent the company at international meetings and attend monthly sales meetings in our Alfreton head office, presenting performance dashboards.
Qualifications and Experience:
5+ years of experience in the materials handling equipment/supply chain industry or a related B2B selling environment.
Strong IT literacy and proficiency in using CRM systems.
Excellent presentation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.
Adept at developing product and market knowledge.
Ability to articulate technical solutions clearly and coherently.
Possession of a clean, full driving license.
