Role: Business Development Manager
Location: South East England/London
Salary: Competitive Salary + Uncapped commission earnings.
Hours: Monday to Friday – Full Time (8:30am-5:30pm)
Have you got experience with Business Development within the drainage, FM or M&E markets?
Do you possess the skills to set and exceed targets as well as be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals within the M&E and FM sectors?
Attega is working with a leading drainage company who offer robust maintenance programs for drainage, plumbing and pumps in their search for a field-based Business Development Manager covering the South East England, London and surrounding areas.
The company provide national reactive emergency coverage for a range of issues and technical diagnostic services, including drainage mapping, water testing, CCTV surveying, flows and loads analysis and site inspections.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive strategic plan outlining short-, medium-, and long-term goals for the new Business Development M&E department.
- Understand and articulate the value proposition of Metcor's services across all three business units to existing clients, developing accounts, and new prospects.
- Regular client facing meetings, updating CRM with all interactions and regular focus on closing deals.
- Identify opportunities for expansion of existing and new customers in the M&E and FM markets.
- Set clear KPIs to measure success and develop tactics for achieving them, including cross-selling and upselling techniques.
- Handle customer inquiries, objections, and negotiations effectively, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership in the growth and development of the department. Considering, how you would determine success, when and how to expand the department.
- Collaborate with the Client Relationship Team to optimise client engagement and retention strategies.
The ideal Business Development Manager must possess a strong understanding of the M&E and FM sectors, with established networks and relationships within the industry. Someone who is a self-starter with the ability to set and exceed targets while fostering time management and a passion for driving portfolio growth. A full UK license is required along with a willingness to travel to various clients and sites, previous experience in handling tendered works and framework agreements is incredibly advantageous but not essential.
