Business Development Project Engineer / Manager

FINTEC recruit is delighted to be hiring for our international pipeline oil and gas client for a Business Development Project Engineer/Manager. This is a permanent role based in Highland region in Scotland. Salary is negotiable by experience, up to circa £55,000 plus benefits. This is an office based role, hybrid potential after initial period; there will be travel to visit clients as and when required. This role is supporting the Commercial and Operations Development Director with Business Development for existing core business in oil and gas /pipeline business and for new markets including wind structures, hydrogen, shipyards, nuclear etc

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: develop and implement a strategic plan for your region; providing data driven insights; conduct market research
• Business analytics: analysis of key areas available welding scopes; developing a business and commercial model
• Relationship management: building strong relationships with clients in target industries; weekly reporting
• Establish and nurture contacts and potential client to diversify company activities
• Tendering: pulling together identified active tenders, distributing and liaising with internal departments
• Collaborate with Management and the Proposals Manager
• Reporting: Undertaking Business Development activity reports and tracking progress in new market expansion, client acquisition and diversification
• Financial reporting, budget adherence, revenue generation
• Sales and Marketing: working closely with sales and marketing, ensuring a level of technical understanding in enhancing sales presentations and proposals
• Coordinate marketing activities such as exhibitions, cultivating the company s profile in welding activities
• QHSES (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental):
• Generally exercise strong HSES leadership at all times; ensure that your team are all fully ; holding regular safety meetings with those you supervise and keep records of these meeting.

Skills and Experience required for the Business Development Project Engineer/Manager

• Degree qualified in a relevant degree
• Experience and knowledge of the Energy industry.
• Proven management and leadership qualities
• Proven track record in driving successful Business Development, sales, and marketing strategies.
• Familiarity with advanced CRM systems for effective reporting and data analysis.
• Experience in the one of the key sectors aforementioned is highly desirable
